The Cultural Taiwan Foundation Overview
Our foundation is a cultural affairs foundation established in accordance with the Foundations Act, Civil Code, and relevant regulations.
On December 15, 1997, with the aim of promoting Taiwan humanistic values, building cultural consensus, and advancing the internationalization of Taiwan's diverse cultures, the "The Cultural Taiwan Foundation" was established with a donation from the Taiwan Provincial Government's Department of Culture. Our mission is to implement Taiwan's cultural development, promote diverse cultural development, and enrich cultural content. Following government organizational restructuring, our supervising authority has been successively transferred to the Council for Cultural Affairs of the Executive Yuan and the Ministry of Culture, and was renamed to its current name in 2013.
Over the years, we have continuously served as advocates for cultural issues, integrators of cultural resources, and implementers of policy. Our concrete efforts include:
